Determination

“The successful person has the habit of doing the things failures
don’t like to do.  They don’t like doing them either necessarily.
But their disliking is subordinated to the strength of their purpose.”

  1. Determination is a great character quality to have as a “kinsman”. I say that in reference to King Solomon’s helpful suggestion in Proverbs 7:3-5 of referring to wisdom and understanding as ‘kinsmen”.

In the criminal justice system we have a term called “determinate” sentences meaning that pre-decided, determinate limits have been set for criminal sentences. Though they have some merit, I generally think it best for the judge and jury to “determine” these sorts of things rather than the legislature.

That having been said, our personal determination really sets the limits on how far we will go…how much sacrifice we will expend… in the pursuit of our long and short term goals and objectives. How determined are you? Do not determinate or “self-terminate”
yourself to the mediocre. Say to determination “you are my kinsman”!

    Keep your powder dry,

    Barney
